As of 2023, citizens of some countries can travel to Vietnam without having to apply for a visa. To enter Vietnam, you only need a valid passport with at least two blank pages for stamping. The full list of visa-free countries is below:

* From 15 March 2025 until 14 March 2028, nationals of Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom, Russia, Japan, Korea, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and Finland are exempt from visa requirements for a stay of up to 45 days from the date of entry, regardless of passport type or entry purpose.
From August 15, 2025, to August 14, 2028, nationals of Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech, Hungary, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Switzerland visiting Vietnam are exempt from visa requirements for a stay of up to 45 days from the date of entry for tourism purposes.
